The American Advertising Federation announced this year’s class that will be inducted into the Advertising Hall of Fame. The class, which consists of seven people and one corporation, will be celebrated during the closing bell ceremony at the New York Stock Exchange today.
The 2023 honorees are:
Raúl Alarcón, chairman of the board and CEO of the Spanish Broadcasting System, Inc.
Cathie Black, principal of Madison Park Ventures
Louis Carr, president of Media Sales of Black Entertainment Television (BET)
Antonio J. Lucio, principal and founder of 5S Diversity
Renetta E. McCann, chief inclusion experience officer of Publicis Groupe
Aaron M. Walton, CEO of Walton Isaacson
John Wren, chairman and CEO of Omnicom Group, Inc
McCann will also be presented with the David Bell Award for Industry Service, “which recognizes extraordinary, unique contributions and service to the advertising industry as a whole,” according to The American Advertising Federation.
Unilever was named the 2023 corporate honoree for its continued focus on addressing social issues and reducing environmental impact as a way to guide business growth in the consumer industry.
