The Naugatuck Rotary Club will present Jill Mahoney, executive director of Connecticut Partnership for Children, a Paul Harris award at its annual Paul Harris Dinner on Tuesday night at the Crystal Room in Naugatuck. The award is given to an individual for their “Service Above Self” in the Naugatuck community.
Mahoney is a lifelong member of the Naugatuck community whose dedication to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all shines daily. With Connecticut Partnership for Children, a local nonprofit with a mission of ensuring that all children are healthy, safe, and successful individuals with actively engaged families, and the School Readiness Liaison for Naugatuck preschools, Mahoney can often be found giving her time through various initiatives. Those initiatives include Naugatuck’s monthly mobile food pantry, Connecticut Partnership for Children’s diaper bank, and countless other endeavors which she fought hard to bring to the community.
Her volunteerism began over 37 years ago with the Naugatuck YMCA’s Child Watch, leading to involvement on the school boards of all five of her children, and involvement in countless community events and organizations.
The cost for the dinner is $40 per person. Contact Matt Fortney at [email protected] or Kim Santulli at (203) 509-9359 for tickets.
