Back from commercial, Matthews sets him up for Cheeky Nando’s, blocked, electric chair to switch gears, Allin with punches, rocking Buddy to his knees and setting up a Poison Frankensteiner that sends him to the floor! Darby Allin wins by pinfall with the Coffin Drop, retaining the AEW TNT Championship.
Post-match, Tony Schiavone interviews Darby Allin and talks up his recent victories, but Samoa Joe interrupts on the tron before any answers are forthcoming.
Joe says in times of old, theft was punished by cutting off a hand, but in the kingdom of the True King of Television, he’ll be punished by having everything stolen from him, and he’s coming back for what is his and he will not be usurped. Darby will learn that winning that title is the greatest mistake of his career, so speaks the king.
We get a comeback video package for Adam Cole.
The Firm make their entrance, “All Ego” Ethan Page on the mic crowing about how he and Matt Hardy are getting along great but they all agree he’s the star of the show. We cut to the Acclaimed, Daddy Ass, and the Ass Boys in family therapy.
Billy Gunn asks when they became entitled spoiled brats and the Gunns point out that he ditched them as kids and they always come second. Anthony Bowens says the two of them are the biggest pieces of shit he’s ever met, and they had all the time in the world to fix their relationship with their father, and instead they ran wild with jealousy the second daddy gave them some attention.
Max Caster says they can’t be the Acclaimed and they’d have been fine as a unit with Billy but they wouldn’t have the top selling t-shirt. The Gunns talk about all their problems in the relationship, they bicker and Billy says they took the easy way out.
They say their faults are his failure as a father, Daddy Ass asks what they want, what will make them happy, and they say they want the title belts and they leave, sending us to break.
Back from commercial, Renee Paquette interviews “Hangman” Adam Page backstage.
He says sometimes she asks questions he really doesn’t want to answer, and the more he tries to look forward the more he sees back to Ohio where this thing with Jon Moxley began, and next week they’re in Dayton, so he wants to knock Mox out in Ohio.
Wheeler YUTA rolls up and says Jon will be ready next week and accepts his challenge. And furthermore, he wants to fight Hangman at Rampage on Friday. Adam asks why he thinks what happened to Jon won’t happen to him too and says he’ll see him on Friday.

Cage puts his arm through the chair again and holds Dragon’s feet so Max can come off the second… KONOSUKE TAKESHITA MAKES THE SAVE AND MJF RUNS AWAY! Takeshita fighting Cage off and he lands a jumping knee!
The ringside doctor checks on Danielson’s arm and we go to break.
Back from commercial we get a recap of the last match and we go in the trainer’s room.
The doctor says, in his medical opinion— Bryan Danielson screams at him, asking if he can wrestle and when he says no he says he wrestled 60 minutes with a separated shoulder and nothing’s gonna stop him. MJF is afraid, of being exposed and of losing the title, but he’s not going to just expose him, he’s gonna show that what’s behind that mask is a fraud, and Bryan Danielson is the person who should be AEW World Champion.
He says he’ll never let the doctor stop him from wrestling ever again and storms off.
We get an inset promo from Ruby Soho telling Toni Storm that her new attitude ends with her.
Ruby Soho vs. Toni Storm
Shoves early, trading forearms, Storm with a boot! Ruby ducks a lariat, forearms and chops in the corner, big jab when Toni tries to fake her out! Whip reversed, up and over, to the apron, Storm with a thumb to the eye and a running hip attack! Out to the floor after her, trading chops, throwing Ruby into the ringpost and sending us to break.
Back from commercial, Soho hits No Future… NOPE! Storm with a cheap shot, pressing the attack, tornado DDT… NOT ENOUGH! Storm Zero attempt, Dr. Britt Baker, DMD makes her entrance for the distraction…
Ruby Soho wins by pinfall with Destination Unknown.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman cuts a promo from a dimly lit room and apologizes for that.
He’s not the first Jew who’s had to hide from a man with blue eyes in a locked room and he has taste, and he knows Konosuke Takeshita is very talented inside the ring but he’s a little smooth-brained up top and he can’t match his tempo, so be very careful before you get involved in his business again.
As for Danielson, this title is what gets him out of bed in the morning, and he knows all of his sins are worth it because this belt turns his catchphrase into a fact, and it’s the only thing he’s ever had that makes him whole, and Bryan wants to take it away, why?
He knows the real reason, and it’s because just like MJF he has a hole in his soul he’s trying to fill, and bad things happen to people that happen with Max in this company, just ask the tall British guy that looks like Ellen Degeneres. Physical pain is fleeting, and you don’t want him to get to the mental pain, because that REALLY leaves a scar.
Tony Khan offered an open contract, so Max has made a call to a man who gets off dismantling people limb from limb, and it’s been a fun right, but it’s over…
HE’S GOT TIMOTHY THATCHER! TIMOTHY THATCHER IS GONNA WRESTLE BRYAN DANIELSON NEXT WEEK BY GOD!
We get a video clip for Emi Sakura vs. Jamie Hayter next week.
Jay Lethal makes his entrance to send us to break.
Jay Lethal vs. Mark Briscoe
Headlock takeover gets a headscissors, Briscoe with an arm wringer, shot off, duck an elbow, arm drag and Mark passes him into the corner after. Scoop and a slam, up kick, stalemate! Briscoe getting a head of steam, big kick, the Redneck Kung Fu, whip across, hip toss from Lethal into a dropkick!
Back and forth and we go to break.

Big dropkick from Mark, out on the apron, diving blockbuster to the floor! Jay on a table, Briscoe off the top… FROGGY BOW!
Back inside, cover… NOT ENOUGH! Jay Driller reversed into a bridging pin, Lethal Injection countered with a lariat, underhooks, attempt at reversing and Mark hits another lariat! Underhooks again… JAY DRILLER! INTO THE COVER! IT’S OVER!
Mark Briscoe wins by pinfall with the Jay Driller.
Post-match, the roster empties onto the stage to celebrate the life of Jay Briscoe.
That’s the show, folks.
