WARSAW — DreamOn Studios and Warsaw Community Schools announced they have recently entered into a strategic and exciting new partnership that will allow high school students to take part in learning world-class video production and storytelling.
This partnership answers a desire for Warsaw Community Schools to partner with local businesses to bring real-world career training opportunities to their students. Through this partnership, DreamOn Studios generously shares 60 years of combined expertise with local high school students who are part of the Warsaw Area Career Center.
“It’s vital to invest in the leadership of younger generations, come alongside them and show that you believe in them,” said Mike Deuel, lead editor and production manager at DreamOn Studios. “Even if they don’t ultimately decide to pursue video production with their career, it’s important to simply show students that you care about them and their futures.”
Warsaw Community Schools is grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with DreamOn Studios to expand valuable career learning opportunities for students who may want to go into creative fields that support the future of the local community.
“I’m excited to partner with local businesses like DreamOn Studios who want to give back to the future of our local community by investing in our students,” said Dr. David Hoffert, superintendent of Warsaw Community Schools. “The team really listened to our desire to provide opportunities for our students to gain hands-on video production experience in the real-world, and ultimately build into their future careers. It’s been so encouraging to see what our students are producing!”
“Many high school students have trouble imagining a future career in digital media,” said Scott Greene, digital media teacher for the Warsaw Area Career Center. “By giving them exposure to real projects and current technology, Warsaw students are doing more than just imagining a career pathway in the digital space. They are charting their own careers and mapping out their dreams. Because DreamOn Studios was founded by and employs several former students from our program, current students can see that a career in digital media is real and achievable. Students lean in and express a desire to learn more every time the team from DreamOn Studios is around.”
