Thirty-eight businesses received a ‘Certificate of Occupancy’ or official letter to ‘Open for Business’ from the Department of Development Services’ Small Business Project Management Program in September 2022, bringing the year-to-date total to two hundred and ninety-six businesses ‘Open for Business.’
One hundred and seven small businesses opened during the third quarter of the calendar year, which is up sixteen more businesses than the same period in 2021.
Health and Beauty Professional Services
Health and Beauty Professional Services once again made the monthly line-up of small businesses locating to Prince William County in September 2022.
Be Well Family Medicine and Wellness Center opened at 3779 Fettler Park Dr and the new NOVA Sportsplex has now opened at the former Battlefield Sportsplex at 6966 Wellington Rd.
Absolute Mental Health Clinic services is now located in Suite 101, 7530 Diplomat Dr. Kar Medical Care is now located in Suite 320, 2200 Opitz Blvd. Paradise Healthcare, a home healthcare agency, has moved to 4343 Dale Blvd. Morning Star Acupuncture is now open at 5864 Mapledale Plaza and Virginia Vision Therapy Center is moving to Suite 201, 10687 Gaskins Way.

A one-stop shop, Glowing Skin by Kay and Kamille’s Illuminated Beauty Bar have both moved into 6832 Piedmont Center Plaza. Her Beauty Lounge has now opened at Salon Plaza in Potomac Festival, 14281 Potomac Mills Rd. A new salon has opened at Salon Nordine and Spa Suites in 109 at 7530 Old Linton Hall Rd. Braids by MNC opened at 10370 Festival Ln, Grace’s Hair has located to 13468 Dumfries Rd and Famous Barber Shop situated at 14700 Lee Hwy has received a new occupancy approval. Brown Sugar Hair Boutique is open in Lakeridge at 12505 Dillingham Sq and Pink Nails received occupancy approval at 13544 Richmond Hwy.
Food and Flowers
Duck Donuts has opened in Suite 140, 15101 Potomac Town Place. Pinay Kitchens, a Filipino restaurant, is now open at 13542 Minnieville Road, La Luna Grill, a Nuevo Latino restaurant, has opened at 13760 Smoketown Road and Hunan D’Lite, a Chinese Restaurant, is open at 13263 Occoquan Rd.
Jehova Jireh Floral Designs opened in West Gate Shopping Center at 10540 Lomond Dr and Cellaxs Cell Phone Repairs has opened in Manassas Mall at 8300 Sudley Road.
HILO Industries, located at 10432 Balls Ford Road, has received a new occupancy letter. And joining HILO Industries in Suite 300 is new tenant, Home Health Services.
Other Small Business Enterprises
Other small business enterprises to open and receive approval to ‘Open for Business’ were DNV Check Cash, 14087 Richmond Hwy, D.F. Williams Plumbing, 14381 Pine Ln, Cleaner Stop Solutions, 14829 Build American Dr, One HR Government Solutions, 13895 Hedgewood Dr, Rigaud Global Company, Suite 101, 2700 Neabsco Common Pl, LAS CPA, 12904 Harbor Dr, Dominion Professional Center Condo, 1376 Old Bridge Rd, Sentinel Wealth Partners, 4008 Genesee Pl and YJK Services moved to Suite 201, 10752 Ambassador Dr. Athletes Mark and Orion Solutions received occupancy approval at 9000 Mike Garcia Dr and Peacock Labs also opened at neighboring 9204 Mike Garica Dr.
As the lead Development Services Agency for the County, the Department of Development Services is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code by reviewing commercial and residential construction plans, issuing permits, inspecting structures, and enforcing building code requirements. The Department also manages the site and subdivision plan review and permit issuance process, administers the posting and releasing of bonds and escrows, and issues zoning permits.
