A company led by a Blackburn entrepreneur is offering a free 16-week training course for people who want to get a career in tech.
Skills City, a digital skills training powerhouse transforming technology training and talent diversity in the North West, is offering a 16-week fully funded course starting on November 28.
The Data Analytics Digital Skills Bootcamp is for anyone aged over 19 in Lancashire, you don’t need to have a background in tech to apply.
It is fully remote and in the evenings, ideal for anyone wishing to change careers.
Data analysts are in huge demand, which is growing rapidly and analysts can be earning around £35,000 after just a few years.
Led by Blackburn entrepreneur Mo Isap and his IN4 Group, Skills City has secured Government funding for the Bootcamps from the Department for Education (DfE), as part of the Government’s Skills for Life Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life – and opening up careers in the digital world.
Mo Isap said: “We are thrilled to be able to offer fully funded courses, so there is no barrier to entry for people wishing to get into a tech career.
“Equivalent courses elsewhere can be as much as £3000 – the UK Government have recognised the urgent need for people to join this field of work, from all backgrounds.
“We are producing skilled talent through our Digital Skills Bootcamps at Skills City, and enabling people to work in this important and growing field.”
