Within the framework of the International Day of Women Entrepreneurs, as part of the activities for the International Week of Entrepreneurship, 36 women entrepreneurs participating in the AWE 3.0 program received seed and working capital for a total of $42,200 for improvements in their businesses.
United States Ambassador in Peru, Lisa Kenna mentioned that AWE is an inclusive program with participants who have gone through very difficult situations, but with the strength to overcome. Women survivors of violence, discrimination, and migrants or members of the LGBTIQ+ community, received training, including with sign language.
For her part, Juana Schmidt, Training and Projects Coordinator of Emprende UP, explained that the 2022 edition of the AWE 3.0 program received more than 650 applications and 316 entrepreneurs from 19 regions of Peru participated in the program.

Launch of AWE 4.0 and 300 scholarships for entrepreneurs
As of December 1, registration for AWE 4.0 will open, whose edition will begin on March 8, 2023 and aims to grant scholarships to 300 women entrepreneurs in 8 regions of Peru.
